Lynn Kleiner is founder and director of Music Rhapsody, a music school based in Manhattan Bach, California for parents and infants, toddlers and young children through the 8th grade. She also directs Music Rhapsody's Summer Music Day Camp for children ages 5 - 14. A popular clinician for pre-schools, school districts, Orff-Schulwerk chapters and parent groups, Lynn has also presented sessions at many national conferences for the American Orff-Schulwerk Association and the Music Educators National Conference. Her award-winning videos, "Babies Make Music," "Kids Make Music," and "Kids Make Music Tool" for the early childhood years have been very popular with parents and teachers of young children. KIeiner's Orff-Schulwerk training and her Master's certificate were earned at Memphis State University. |
Cecilia Riddell has taught music and music education at California State University, Dominguez Hills since 1972. A graduate of Pomona College and Harvard University Graduate School of Education, she received her Ph.D. in Music from U.C.L.A. A former choral conductor and pianist, she received her Orff Level Ill certificate from U.S.C. in 1974. Riddell has written many articles and has presented numerous workshops for local, state and national music associations. In addition to teaching at the university level, Riddell offers Saturday classes for babies and parents, and for pre-school children. She was named "Teacher of the Year" in 1994 by the California Music Educators Association, Southern Section. |
