The Victorian Orff Schulwerk Association invites music, dance and drama educators working in the early childhood area (up to 8 years) to submit an application to present a Workshop/Paper at the ninth Early Childhood Conference of Performing Arts to be held in early 2005.
WORKSHOPS
Workshop sessions in the field of interest to Early Childhood Performing Arts educators are invited. Sessions are to be congruent with the conference theme of 'Learning for Living Through Music, Dance and Drama' Workshops will be 75 minutes duration (1 1/4 hours) and should include the active involvement of participants. Some sessions may be selected as repeats or 'all in' sessions. Workshops will attract a fee of $100 (plus GST if applicable) which includes up to 4 pages of notes for the conference handbook.
PAPERS
Papers on any aspect of music education congruent with the conference theme of 'Learning for Living Through Music, Dance and Drama' are invited. Presentations will be of 15 minutes duration. There will be a 10-15 minutes discussion time at the end of the session. Papers will attract a fee of $50 (plus GST if applicable) which includes up to 2 pages of notes for the conference handbook.

The deadline for proposals is 30 July 2004 to allow for the preparation of brochures and advertising of the conference.
Successful applicants will be notified as soon as possible but no later than end-August 2004.
